I think that in general should be 1/4-1/2 inch long. When you arrive draws wax / tape hair follicles from the root. So, if the hair is too short not to (go to the beautician or whoever always begin the moon) May to ... ouch!
Yes, it might be too short, but rather that you call and hear them cuz it depends also on the wax to use them.
