Cyst is a closed pocket or pouch of tissue that can form anywhere in the body. Cysts can be filled with air or liquid. The cysts in the kidneys usually contain fluid. One or more cysts develop Mai, the small tubes in the kidneys. The simple kidney cyst is different from the cysts that if a person develop polycystic kidney disease gene. Although its cause is not fully understood, is the simple cyst is not a hereditary condition. Simple renal cysts are more common with increasing age. Nearly 30 percent of people over 70 years have at least one simple kidney cyst.

In most cases, not simple cysts do not cause symptoms or renal damage. In some cases, pain may occur when cysts enlarge and press on other organs. Sometimes, infected cysts orddenly begin to bleed. Less frequently, cysts impair kidney function. People with simple cysts are often seen have high blood pressure, if there is cause and effect is not well understood.

Renal cysts can be detected by images of the kidneys with computed tomography (CT) and ultrasound. If there are simple cysts, but no complications, no treatment is required.

If cysts cause symptoms, treatment may be necessary. The procedure involves puncturing the cyst with a long needle absorbed through the skin. The doctor uses ultrasound to guide the needle to the cyst. The cyst was emptied and consumed with a solution of alcohol to the tissues engorged.

If the cyst is large, surgery may be performed. Most proceduran can with laparoscopy, which allows a smaller incision and faster recovery. The surgeon drains the cyst removed or burned the outer fabric. Most patients in the hospital 1 or 2 days.
